Voyeur
1221 St. James St.
Philadelphia 19107

after-hours bar and club. It’s open very late, so it’s where
most of the boys end up. But if you are not a member
it is $15 to get in and you cannot buy liquor unless
you are a member. Hang around some of the bars in the
vicinity; that’s the best way to get invited.

Philadelphia
Mayor John F. Street celebrated his city's commitment to diversity
April 18 when he dedicated 36 new street signs affixed with
the iconic rainbow flag. The signs serve as an official marker
of the city's "gayborhood," a concentrated area of
gay-friendly businesses, bars, nightclubs, coffee shops, and
restaurants running from Chestnut to Pine Streets between 11th
and Broad streets. Their arrival comes just in time for the
city's annual Equality Forum, (April 30-May 6).
Members of the Philadelphia Gay Tourism Caucus (www.gayphiladelphia.org), Washington Square Civic Association and City Councilman Frank
DiCicco spent two years working to replace existing street
signs with the new gay-themed ones. The nonprofit caucus is
dedicated to helping the city get its share of the lucrative
$54 billion gay travel market. San Francisco, Chicago, Montreal
and Toronto have erected similar rainbow installations.

For those who arrived early people were able to see Gloris Casarezm Director of LGTB Affairs for the City of Philadelphia throw out the ceremonial first pitch as well as a performance from the Philadelphia Voices fo Pride singing the National Anthem. Despite the inclimate weather and a loss by the Phillies the LGTB spirits were not dampened and Edge was there for all the fun.
